Geopoints and other geographic data types

Question Asked
Hi,

I'm looking for some documentation on how I format data into teh geographic formats. I can see from the SDpatial and Location Intelligence Tutorial Guide how to use a Geopoint but I need to know what I have to do to create one.

Have I missed something in the manual? Any assistance on the Geo data types would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Brendon

Answer
Hi Brandon,

The geographic data isn't actually managed from within Yellowfin. Usually when we want geometry data for a region we do a Google search for a shapefile for that region, then we use tools to convert that from shapefiles to the WKT format that Yellowfin can understand (I use OpenJump for this).
