WMS Based chart

Question Asked
Hi,

I have a map chart based on a WMS layer.

As you can see from the image, my points are right on the boundry of the map window. Is it possible to have a buffer area around the map so that you can see the balloons clearly?

My second question is about hyperlinking. I know I can link the fields, and have done so in the image above, but I would really like to create a link on the mapped bubble. Is this possible?

Many thanks

Brendon

Answer
Hi Brendon,

We'll look at implementing the buffer area. The trouble with this is that if the bounds of the data are the very edge of the world you'd end up with white chunks of nothing around the chart area. In the past we've used "dummy" points with values of zero to pad out the visible area for a GIS chart. Looking at your dataset this may not be feasible.

If you change the hyperlink field for the drill to the field containing the geometry data you will get links on the bubbles.
