Yellowfin identified as an embedded analytics “up and comer”
Global Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics software vendor, Yellowfin, has been named as an embedded analytics “up and comer” by media publication Tech In Agriculture (techinag.com).
The article, penned by technology enthusiast Chris Carl and titled Embedded Data Analytics – Some Up and Comers, said that organizations in the agriculture space should be looking to invest in “more sophisticated” data analytics solutions as they “push data out to customers or business users”.
Carl continued, adding that traditional BI tools – offered by firms including Oracle, Microsoft and SAP – were “not always the best options for more innovative analytics needs” such as embedded offerings for customer or other products.
Carl identified four leading innovators in embedded BI, one of which was Yellowfin.
The article stated that “Yellowfin has been building progressive BI and data analytics offerings for over a decade” and is at “the forefront” of Collaborative BI. Principal Analyst for Gartner’s Technology & Service Provider Research Group, Dan Sommer, also pinpointed Yellowfin as a pioneer in Collaborative BI in a keynote presentation at Gartner’s recent Las Vegas Business Intelligence & Analytics Summit.
