What is Low Code / No Code development?

This style of development allows for the development of applications with little or no programming. This might mean that common coding tasks are reduced into drag and drop options, and configured via user interface options. Or it might mean that out of the box objects can be extended within minimal coding.

Low code/no-code can allow non-developers to build applications or improve the productivity of existing developers by providing pre-built components that accelerate the process.

Do I need to be able to code to extend Yellowfin?

Many features of Yellowfin are highly customizable via the User Interface – however, if you do want to extend Yellowfin then you will need to be able to code for some of the more advanced use cases.

Do I need to learn a proprietary language?

Yellowfin has no proprietary languages. Yellowfin Code-Mode utilises HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Yellowfin code extensions can be coded in the Java programming language.
