What is Ask Yellowfin?
Ask Yellowfin lives on the Yellowfin website and answers questions in plain English, from basic navigation to complex analysis tasks. It's built on Idera's AIDA platform and trained on over 400 topics from our Wiki help documentation, so that you can get accurate, context-aware answers fast.
What’s new
This release comes with a significant set of upgrades:
File uploads. You can now upload PNG or PDF files directly into the chat. The AI interprets the images and summarises their content as part of the conversation.
Contextual memory. The chatbot remembers context across a conversation, so you don't need to repeat yourself when asking follow-up questions.
Support escalation. If an issue needs a human, you can submit a support ticket directly from the chat, with any attached files carried through automatically. The AI supplements the support team, not replace them.
Conversation controls. You can copy responses, export the full conversation to PDF, and leave thumbs up/down feedback to help us improve responses over time.
Refreshed UI. The interface is faster and cleaner, with support for light and dark themes, custom brand colours, and configurable welcome text.
