Changed iReport version and report doesn’t run

Hi,
Had a working jasper report that I believe was written with version 1.2.8 of iReport. Have opened said report in iReport 3.7.1, made no changes to it and saved.

A diff of the two jrxml files reveals changes which appear related to the different version of iReport.

I can run the new version successfully from within iReport. When trying to run it in Yellowfin I get the error "An error occurred retrieving the results from the database. Please check the SQL syntax and try again." - this is after replacing the old version with the new file and making no other changes.

Replacing the file with the old version gets the report working again. i.e. error is related to new version of jasper report.

Any ideas on what may be causing this or how I can get more detailed error information ? Or is this a jasper report problem ?

Thanks
Hi Robin,

Yellowfin does not support reports saved in the latest version of iReport at this time. The latest version we support is 3.0.0, which can be downloaded here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ireport/files/
It is listed under "iReport (classic)"

We have looked at upgrading, but unfortunately one of the libraries included in the newer version conflicts with our PDF libraries.

Thanks,
Steve
