Org Ref Code does not Sort ‘Section’ when used as Tab

In my report - i added Section and changed Section Style = Tabbed.
Now I am trying to sort the Section values in Tab order.
I used Org Ref Code to sort the values of the field i used as section.
as explained in

I also changed the section Format to Org Ref Code and used Reference Type.
Now if i try to use this field as filter - The sort is as expected but Org Ref Code does not sort the values in Section-Tabbed.

Please suggest me how can i sort the Section values in order it shows in Filter in attached screen shot.

Hope you're well.
What version and build number are you using? I tested this in the most recent 7.2 build and was able to sort my tabs by ref code sort order. Please see my attached screenshot.
It may be that you need to update to get this functionality.

I have tried many options -

When i select section style - Multiple Page - i do get options for Summary and Sort. even though i select Sort Order - 'Sort Index' - i do not get expected results.
I am just confused where am i missing.
Please suggest me more options.
Note: I am using YF Version :

Build: 20140923
Java Version: 1.7.0_21
Operating System: Windows Server 2012 6.2 (amd64)
Also, i get correct order in Filter by using Org Ref Code as i mentioned earlier.

You are running a very old version of 7.1 there!
I would recommend upgrading to the latest build for 7.1 - http://www.yellowfinbi.com/YFSupportCentre.i4
You can also see the change logs for the releases there too.
There have been many fixes in the releases since your build and this is likely one of them (or will improve the behaviour!)
