Embed Charting Javascript API in Yellowfin
23 May, 2015
Hi,
A suggestion would be to allow the embedding of charting JavaScript APIs in Yellowfin. That way if Yellowfin does not have a particular visualization available, advanced users can use external chart APIs to create their own charts within Yellowfin and distribute to other Yellowfin users. We currently have other chart api licences and would love to be able to use it within Yellowfin.
Just my 2 cents.
Regards,
Paul

this would be immensely useful. we often run short of visualizations and providing a way to embed other apis would be ideal in this case.

Hi Paul/Nitin,
Thanks for the suggestion.
I just wanted to throw out there that although this still is not possible within Yellowfin, DashXML can be used to render charts that Yellowfin does not natively offer.
An example of a couple of these charts can be seen in the below screenshot:
I know this isn't exactly what you are after, but I thought that it was worth mentioning.
Kind Regards,
Dustin
