The content of the Left Side Nav Bar, can be customized
If you disable or remove "My Content" location from the Left Side Nav it would only display the Left Side Bar if a Dashboard filter exist.



Note: You could also remove the "Filter" location from the Left Side Nav, to completely disable the Left Side Nav Bar.
