How do I add sort order to a calculated field?

thanks
Hi,

You can sort a calculated field as you would any other field, by clicking the drop-down and sorting ascending or descending.

However in the case of month names where you need a different sort order, you can achieve this by using Org Ref Codes to specify a different order.

And when you change the order it uses the order specified in the Org Ref Code.

Please let me know if this is what you where after

Thanks for your response but my question is - How to add a sort order to a calculated field other than month ...e.g. I add a formula and it results in - 0 times, 1-5 times , 6-10 Times ,11-15 Times ....Then when I sort it , it appears in a weird order because of alphanumeric sort -
0 times, 1-5 times, 11-15 times, 6-10 Times. That's why I need to add sort order to this calculated text.
Hi,

The same principal applies, with the use of Org Ref Codes you specify the sort order you want.

In the view you format your calculated field, mine is called "Calc Times" using an Org Ref Code.

Click Calc Times, then set Format to Org Ref Code, Then select Create New Org Ref Code and Pre-Populate the values from the Database/Calculated Field.

You then edit the values individually and specify the sort order you want.

Include the field in your Report and it will apply the sort order of the Org Ref Code you created.
