No option to add ‘prefix/suffix’ to column in report
20 September, 2010
How do I modify the display of the Amount Metrics so it appears with a $ prefix? The column display editor doesn?t offer that option.

Does this issue only occur with reports created outside of Yellowfin?
I am only able to reproduce this issue with fields which have a certain 'data Type', eg. Varchar,Date,Big Integer.
These are set as part of the view creation.
Are you able to view the field properties and tell me what is set?
Regards,
David

This is apparently only occuring within the product when utilizing OLAP views.
The following are the data types found in our SAP infocube
Amount - Decimal(16,3)
Quantity - Decimal(16,3)
Calendar Year - Character (4)
User Id - Character (20)

We have investigated this and found the reason why this happens, is because the OLAP cube actually formats the data,so it has already been formatted.
Unfortunately there is no current way to format this data from within Yellowfin.
Though this will be discussed with the development team as a possible enhancement in a future build.
