OLAP/MDX Query Error

I have a report running against a SQL Analysis Services Cube that basically just sits there anywhere from 10 or more minutes and eventually just says "Error Retrieving Results...." When I run the MDX query that is generated by the report directly on the Analysis Server it runs in 6 seconds, so it's a valid query that should execute properly. The query is a rather long query because it is doing an exclude from a long list of selected items from a list box, but that's the only abnormal thing about the query that I see.

Checking the log files, these are some of the errors that are reported:

2014-09-09 13:52:08 ERROR: [223084] Connection[1] checkout timeout exceeded

2014-09-09 13:56:30 WARN: [223084] Connection[1] could not be found. Possibily forcibly removed from connection pool.

Any help is much appreciated.

Steve

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your post. For us to look into this for you I wondered if we could get a little more information from you please.
1/ What version and build of Yellowfin are you using?
2/ Could you send over all your log files: YellowfinappserverLOGS
3/ If you could also give us a rough time/report name that the error is occurring on, as this will help us when looking into the logs.

If you send all this information to [color="#1912FC">support@yellowfin.bi[/color] and reference this post. One of our team will then look into this for you.

Kind Regards,
Katie
