Organising a dashboard tab in specific order
9 June, 2011
How can I organized according Dashboard Tab in specific order and implement it across specific Client Org?
Dashboards ?belong? to the client that they were created at.
Content created at a client will only be available to that client, and content created at the Default Organisation will be available to users logging in to any client.
In order to change the order of the dashboard tab, you will need to use the 'Move Left/Right' option from the drop-down menu:
Note:In order to move the dashboards, the user will need to have the ability to create/add dashboard TABS.
You can set a order of dashboards per user groups, though not per user.
So you could add the users to a specific group, and add the dashboard TABS to that group.
Note: You will only be able to see the users/groups within the client org you are currently logged into.
You could also use the 'Distribute TAB' option, and send them to the relevant users/groups. The order in which they receive the TAB is the order it will be displayed.
Note: You will only be able to see the users/groups within the client org you are currently logged into.

How Do You Order The DashBoard Sequence?
Hi David,
I tried to move tab with the user having an access 'Move Left/Right' option user group within Client Org as above recomendation and when I login using a different user and having same access and membership to the client org it show a different sequence of tab compare from what I did to the first user.

Cernan

Hi Cernan,
This is due to each user/group having their own set of dashboards upon logging in.
The dashboard views are stored against each user/group, so in order to sort the dashboards for this user, you will need to log as the user and sort the dashboard.
You could create a group for these users and sort it per group, or you could the 'Distribute TAB' and send each dashboard in order, to the specific user.
Let me know how you go.
