however, if you are not able to find them perhaps this is because you don't have the necessary permission for them in your role definition:





Defining a financial year is possible in Yellowfin, please see this forum post on that very same topic.

That kinda answered it as the role did need configuring to allow the Period Filter Management.

But, it's not quite what I'm looking for. I already have a financial year defined (starts on 01/07/2012), but I want to define a different period - something like a tax year which starts on 01/03/2012. Is it possible?

Also, even though I have added the rights for the role to be able to use the Period Filter Management, I still don't seem to be able to find a custom setting anywhere.

or in the user specified option when the report is run:



It's entirely possible that I'm still missing something simple, but I can't see the custom format mentioned in the other post.

try setting your filter to be of type Drop Down with Pre-Defined Date Ranges:

that most likely is caused by DIA Approve Date being a Metric and not a Dimension, please go to the view and check this out.
