Removing Salutation from email template

Hi there,
Is it possible to hide/remove the salutation from the email template in v7.1?
I have changed font to size 0 and colour white, but it still appears in the email notification in outlook, and in the email itself it appears as a very small line, and can be selected and made visible.

Hi Gerri,
Currently there's no options to modify the salutations in an email template.
We already have an Enhancement Request in our system requesting options to allow customised email templates, however at this stage this hasn't reach the Development planning schedule.
