Startup Error – After restoring DB on another machine
1 December, 2010
Hi Guys,
We need to apply a patch to our test Yellowfin env, prior to loading it in our production instance.
Basicallay our test env does not have the reports we need to test, so we did a backup of the Yellowfin db on prod and restored it to test.
We now get an error message in test saying:
Startup Error
An error occurred during system startup. Please have your system administrator check the database connection settings. More information is available in the system logs
When I go to http:///info.jsp
I get all the info, but it looks like its cleared the licence file?.
Can you please let me know what we need to do to get this up and running so I can apply the test?

Hi,
When restoring a database from another server, please remember information regarding database name/server may also be included.
Please confirm you have the correct Connection settings within the web.xml file on the 'test' machine.
Thanks,
David
