Timeline of a new user. Why do i see the older activities

When i create a new user it looks like he/she will have al public or group-bases activities in the users timeline. Even thoose that where there before the user wat defined.
Is this the expected behaviour? If yes, can you make two options on the users profile so that i can "reduce" the timeline that is shown?
1) Enable/disable public-activities before the date the user was added to the system
2) Enable/disable groupbased-activities before the date the user was added to the system

Yes, have confirmed that the behaviour with Timeline events appearing before user account creation is expected.
I have submitted an Enhancement Request ( # 172695 ) for an Timeline activity on/off option to be added in a future YF release.
