Yellowfin views do not allow the reuse of conformed dimensions within a data warehouse. I have found that when creating views I am having to model the same conformed dimension, such as organisational hierarchy, throughout a number of views. It would be beneficial if I could model this dimension once and have it reused and maintained centrally across all views.
This could be achieved by linking views together or having the ability to "publish" subviews from a master view.

Hi Bradley,
Sorry for the delay in responding, somehow this forum seems to have "slipped through the cracks" as it were!
Your idea makes a lot of sense to me seeing as that seems to be the raison d'etre of setting up Conformed Dimensions in the first place! So I mentioned it to our Yellowfin View SME and he said he will look into it when the View Builder gets its big revamp in the near future (post 7.2), although he did also stress that he couldn't guarantee it until he had investigated the feasibility of it all.
regards,
Dave
