We wouldn't recommend that you try connecting straight to the SAP database, and neither would SAP. The application layer of SAP transforms the data, so what's in the database is not what the end user sees.

You are, however, able to connect to SAP's BW relational tables. We are also currently working on functionality to allow you to connect with BW cubes. As you would expect, though, BW comes at an additional cost. To report off SAP you would either need to purchase BW or work with a specialist who can extract data from SAP's database for you.
