For Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), embedding Business Intelligence (BI) software into their commercial application can be a huge value-add for their customers; however, ISVs want to focus on their core business strengths and what they do best. With Yellowfin BI, ISVs can seamlessly embed a fully-fledged, world-class Business Intelligence tool without having to develop and maintain it themselves, and as a result, they can focus on their core product and business.

In the video below, Andy White, Business Intelligence Specialist for Velocity Global, describes their reasoning behind choosing to partner with Yellowfin BI as an ISV.

White explained that as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Reseller they began to get a lot of requests from their customers for customized reports.

“It all starts with reporting, everybody wants a report and it always needs customizing, so we really needed to allow for our customers to have some level of self-service,” said White.

Velocity Global went looking for a solution in 2008 and have been using Yellowfin ever since.

“When we began looking at Business Intelligence solutions, several things pointed to Yellowfin straight away,” explained White.

“A big reason behind choosing Yellowfin was user-base licensing and pricing; the pricing fit within our customer’s expectations. In addition, Yellowfin is scalable way beyond our largest customer at 800 users. We are comfortable that we can take on any customer with Yellowfin and deliver a solation that will work.”

With regards to the Yellowfin experience, White explained that, “The look and feel was also right, and the ISV deal was perfect – no one else was as flexible and as easy to work with."
