using access reports on Freehand Sql reports

Hi

Is it possible to use access filters in free hand Sql Reports.

Thanks & Regards
Jhansi
Hi Jhansi,

The Yellowfin Wiki gives you instructions on using
access filters with Freehand SQl reports, however you should note the following ;

Under the " Data " step of your report ;

Select the Filter settings ;

Change the user prompt to Access Filter, and select the field you wish to use.

Let me know if this works for you.

Kind Regards,

Danny
Hi Danny.

Thanks for your support. I did like you advised, in filter advanced settings I changed user prompt to access filter and select the corresponding access filter.
But in result, that filter is not coming in filters list in report Output.

For example, for Branch dropdown I have assigned access filter, As a Consultant I can access to all branches(i.e. '%' will return from access filter). But here Branch dropdown is missing in filters list in report output window.
I checked the SQL statement, in where condition it will be like below
fied_name = '%'
How can I get that access filter dropdown in filters list values in report output. So that I can choose the one from dropdown.

Thanks & Regards
Jhansi
Hi Jhansi,

Apologies, but a source access filter won't appear as a drop-own in the UI.

Multiple access filters cannot be configured using freehand SQL, only through the Drag and Drop Report builder.

Kind Regards,

Danny
