Yellowfin South Africa – operated by official Yellowfin distributor and enterprise IT applications and services provider, Albi Investment Group Services (AIGS) – has launched Yellowfin’s Business Intelligence (BI) solution to the Zimbabwean market, in conjunction with local reseller partner Insurefin, during an event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Harare.
As part of the announcement, Insurefin, a Zimbabwean-based enterprise IT consultancy and business software solutions provider, will be responsible for distributing Yellowfin, and delivering its associated suite of professional services, throughout Zimbabwe and other neighboring African countries including Ghana and Zambia.
AIGS CEO, Rick Parry, said Insurefin had the balance of skills and marketplace knowledge required to successfully grow Yellowfin’s presence in Zimbabwe and surrounding countries.
“AIGS has had a strong presence in the Zimbabwean market, through our association with Progress Software, for over 20 years,” said Parry, who successfully developed the Progress Software brand throughout Sub Saharan Africa. “Insurefin have been a long standing partner of AIGS’ since their inception in 1993. As such, we know that they have the technical skills, market knowledge and established networks necessary to successfully deliver Yellowfin to the Zimbabwean market.”
Speaking about the launch, Yellowfin South Africa Managing Director, Premie Naicker, said that Yellowfin would succeed in Zimbabwe where other BI tools had failed.
“Yellowfin is a technologically and financially accessible Business Intelligence solution,” said Naicker. “Because it’s highly intuitive, non-technical business users can independently create their own reports, data visualizations or dashboards, and then explore that BI content to discover the fact-based insights they need to make better, faster decisions.
“And, as a 100 percent Web-based single-integrated BI solution, Yellowfin is also easy to deploy and manage, reducing strain on internal IT resources. Not only does Yellowfin integrate easily into existing technical environments, hardware requirements are minimal.”
Naicker added that Yellowfin’s licensing model would also offer prospective Zimbabwean clients a significant advantage compared to many other BI vendors.
“Additionally, Yellowfin’s single all-inclusive subscription license type – encompassing market leading Mobile BI, Collaborative BI and Location Analytics features – makes world-class BI accessible to organizations of all sizes,” said Naicker. “Software, maintenance, support and upgrades – it’s all included. There are no catches, additional modules or add-on licenses with which you have to contend and manage.”
Naicker said that working with AIGS’ partner, Insurefin, to bring Yellowfin’s BI solution to Zimbabwe, and other African regions, also meant customers would experience first-rate services and support locally, without having to rely on remote assistance from Yellowfin South Africa.
Insurefin Managing Director, Patience Masamvu, said Yellowfin’s ease of use and deployment, coupled with its flexible pricing model, would reinvigorate demand for reporting and analytics in Zimbabwe.
“Complexity and cost of ownership has inhibited BI adoption in the Zimbabwean market – until now,” said Masamvu. “Yellowfin’s simplicity, low-cost, and all-inclusive subscription model, means that great return on investment is always possible.”
AIGS is responsible for distributing Yellowfin and managing Yellowfin partner networks – as well as delivering Yellowfin professional and support services – throughout Sub Saharan Africa, trading under the name Yellowfin South Africa.
