“Yellowfin 7.2 will deliver a BI platform that empowers business analysts and business users to work collaboratively to improve business insight,” said Ryan.

The series of Yellowfin 7.2 launch Webinars will reveal the Yellowfin Business Workflow – a new and unique method of improving task management and analytic workflow in order to connect business users with business analysts.

“The Yellowfin Business Workflow enables BI consumers to quickly connect with the BI experts in their organization to raise trackable tasks, brainstorm ideas, collaboratively review content and act fast,” said Ryan.

Yellowfin has received substantial industry recognition for its pioneering Collaborative BI features and functions.

BARC’s The BI Survey, the world’s largest annual survey of BI end-users, has identified Yellowfin as a “consistently outstanding Ad-hoc Reporting Vendor in Collaboration”, with leading scores for this innovative KPI over the past four years. In the latest version of BARC’s annual survey of BI users, The BI Survey 15, Yellowfin was the top ranked BI solution for its vendor Peer Group in the critical Collaboration KPI across all regions – EMEA, the Americas and APAC. Additionally, the average proportion of employees using Yellowfin within an organization was found to be 39 percent, compared an average of 17 percent for all products assessed in The BI Survey 15.

“Yellowfin’s Collaborative BI capabilities support pervasive sharing of BI content amongst information consumers, as evidenced by the high proportion of employees using Yellowfin’s BI solution,” said BARC Founder and CEO, Dr Carsten Bange.

Yellowfin was also positioned as a ‘Leader’ in 2013, 2014 and 2015 versions of Nucleus Research’s Technology Value Matrix for Business Intelligence and Analytics, identified for standout usability and collaborative capabilities.

Yellowfin’s approach to Collaborative BI has also received significant praise from other industry experts and analysts.

“Yellowfin’s collaboration features both improve adoption amongst business users and improves the decision-making process within the organization,” said Info-Tech Research Group Senior Consulting Analyst, Daniel Ko.

“Building a data-driven culture is the key to success in the 21st century, and tools like Yellowfin are helping in that niche,” said Big Data thought leader and Principal Analyst at Rebaie Analytics Group, Ali Rebaie.

“Yellowfin is getting the right data into the hands of the right people, at the right time, by focusing on collaboration,” said data expert and Principal at Boulder Marketing Technology, Brad Ewald.
