Hi Support,

I get error message "Oh no! An error has occurred during processing, please try again later " when I try export report for backup.

This report created by used subreport and access filter.
I have attached yellowfin.log for you. Could you please kindly advise me about this?

PS.Please see the Yellowfin.log in attached file (YF:2013-09-18 18:24).

Thank you in advance.
Best Regards,
Ann
Hi Kanjana,

Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and thanks for the screenshots & log file.

Unfortunately this log file has 1 error line, which doesn't help very much :(
YF:2013-09-18 18:28:02:ERROR (V4ExportProcess:exportAdminItems) - Error: java.lang.NullPointerException
Do you have another log file that contains more to the error?
These could be in the yellowfin-stdout or yellowfin-stderr logs.

Also, it's worth noting I have seen some export issues occur with sub-queries, when the sub-query is being stored in a different report category.
This used to happen when a report was moved from 1 category to another, the sub-query would stay in the old category. But in this scenario, you would also get an error when trying to load the report.

Does your report still function ok?

Also, which version of Yellowfin are you using? E.g 6.3 August release.

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

I'm not sure what the cause of the error message.
After, I have updated the latest version and tested export again.
I can export the report , it is working fine.

Best Regards,
Ann
As long as it's working! :)

thanks for letting us know
Hi,

Same issue - so attaching to this thread.

Please see log file attached.

Lots of :
YF:2016-03-22 12:07:33: INFO (OrgCache:getOrgRefCode) - Null reference code requested

and then errors:

YF:2016-03-22 12:07:47:ERROR (V4ExportProcess:exportAdminItems) - Error: java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: ""

Please advise?
Hi David,

this sort of issue is better handled via email rather than this forum which should be more for "how to" type of questions. So would you mind please emailing the issue in to us at support@yellowfin.bi, also, it's better for you because that way you get a ticket number which you can use to follow up.

I've looked through your application log file and just like the previous form post above it unfortunately misses out on the stacktrace for the NumberFormatException, so could you please email us your console log (windows = yellowfin-stdout.log, linux=catalina.out) as it may have been captured there. Also please tell us which version and build of Yellowfin you are using.

If the stacktrace doesn't exist in the console log then we will have to ask for a full dump of your Yellowfin config DB and just the schema of your data warehouse (i.e. not the data from your data warehouse, just the empty tables).

regards,
David
